Shockwave is a non-surgical treatment solutions for chronic and subacute orthopedic conditions that are unresponsive to anti-inflammatories and immobilization devices. Shockwave consists of an acoustic wave which carries high energy to painful spots and dysfunctional myoskeletal tissues. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues.

Shockwaves are characterized by jump change in pressure, high amplitude and non-periodicity. The kinetic energy of the projectile, created by compressed air, is
transferred to the transmitter at the end of the applicator and further into the tissue.

• Plantar Fasciitis, heel pain or heel spur
• Tennis elbow
• Jumpers knee
• Achilies tendonititis
• Shin splints

• Reversal of chronic inflammation

Release of trigger points

Acoustic waves with high energy peak used in Shockwave therapy interact with tissue causing overall medical effects of accelerated tissue repair and cell growth, analgesia and mobility restoration. All the processes mentioned in this section are typically employed simultaneously and are used to treat chronic, sub-acute and acute conditions.
Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT®) is proprietary technology based on several unique sets of acoustic pressure waves that activate biologic and angiogenic
responses including new vascularization and microcirculatory improvement, helping to restore the body’s normal healing processes and tissue regeneration.

A lifelong learner and practitioner of holistic medicine, Dr. McIntyre graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors in Animal Science, then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic where she earned her Doctorate. Dr. McIntyre’s focus is on treating patients as individuals and supporting the normal physiology of the body. Coming from a long line of chiropractors, Dr. McIntyre learned at a young age that symptoms are a manifestation of the body trying to communicate something.

“It’s my job as a doctor to help translate the message.”

“My goal is to help individuals maximize what their body has to offer. When you feel good, life is good.”

As a provider, Dr. McIntyre has a variety of different techniques that can be utilized for care. Along with the Palmer Package, she has acquired certifications as a Full Body and Long Nerve Entrapment A.R.T. (Active Release Technique) practitioner through school and for many years after; Graston Technique practitioner (instrument assisted soft tissue tools); as an Applied Kinesiologist; Webster certified practitioner; and, dry needling certification. She has years of experience utilizing a Storz Shockwave to eliminate myofascial adhesions. She has also gained extensive knowledge in S.O.T. (Sacral Occipital Technique), Activator Method, Integrative Diagnosis, and nutrition.

Dr. McIntyre grew up studying and utilizing nutrition. She has learned the value of supporting the body’s natural physiology in order to maintain optimum health.

“As a mother of 3, doctor, athlete, and a lifelong patient of chiropractic care myself, I have personally seen the benefits of how holistic healthcare can change lives. For my pregnant patients, you cannot give what you do not have. For my pediatric and adult patients, we have to focus on giving the body the right building blocks for healing and to maintain health. And for my athletes, there is nothing like finding that missing piece of the puzzle to optimize your performance. I want to empower patients to take control and improve their quality of life. Chiropractic and holistic healthcare is my passion, and I truly enjoy continuing to study and apply new ways to help my patients and family.”

After growing up all over the country, Dr. McIntyre is happy to call Phoenix home. In her free time she enjoys spending time with my family and friends, running, playing sand volleyball, cooking, reading, and traveling.
